About NSS Kuwait

Few Words about
Nair Service Society Kuwait

Nair Service Society Kuwait

Taking the lead given by Shri Mannath Padmanabhan (1878-1970), expatriate Nairs of Kuwait formed NSS Kuwait in January 2001 at Fahaheel. The plight of the suffering, poor and needy labourers especially from Nair community, and those living in camps in the Kuwait deserts also fired a new zeal in the hearts of like minded Nair community members to start NSS in Kuwait.

In February 2002, the organization was registered with Indian Embassy Kuwait under the Registration No.INDEMB/KWT/ASSN/95. On 18 July 2002 the then Hon. General Secretary of Nair Service Society, Kerala Sri P.K. Narayana Panicker officially inaugurated NSS Kuwait. With the strong support of Kuwait Nair community members and the strong backing from our parent organization, we could venture into and engage in so many projects for social-upliftment.

With our continuous and concerted efforts and follow up with our embassy, they after assessing the strength, charity works and past history, approved to change the name to “Nair Service Society (NSS) Kuwait” (same name as our Parent Organisation, NSS in Kerala) in April 2010. This is a significant achievement for our community members, which was resulted from our hard work and dedication towards our Nair community members.
